What is Yellow Rust ?
Yellow rust, also known as stripe rust, is one of the most devastating fungal diseases affecting wheat crops. It is caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici and primarily affects the leaves, reducing photosynthesis and grain yield. Bright yellow, elongated pustules arranged in stripes parallel to the leaf veins. Yellow rust can reduce wheat yields by up to 80% in severe cases.
