SYMPTOMS

The larvae feed on the lower part of the stem, which can cause tillers to wither, die, and become stunted.n spring, the larvae feed on the area above the node, which can inhibit stem elongation and nutrient transportation to the emerging spike. This can result in poor seed production or stem breakage.
