Mode of Action

Zinc EDTA enters the plant system through foliar absorption or root uptake (via drip/drenching) and is translocated to growing parts. Zinc functions as a co-factor in several enzyme systems that regulate auxin (growth hormone) synthesis, protein metabolism, and chlorophyll formation. This enables healthy leaf development, strong root systems, and uniform crop growth. Chelation with EDTA prevents zinc fixation in the soil, ensuring higher nutrient efficiency.

Target Crops

Frequency of Application

• Apply during early vegetative growth and repeat at flowering or fruit setting stage if required.
• For zinc-deficient fields, repeat every 15–20 days.
• Avoid foliar spray during mid-day hours to prevent leaf scorch.

Dosage

Foliar Spray

• Standard Dose: 200 grams per acre
• Dilution: Dissolve 100 g in 150–200 liters of water and spray uniformly

Drip and Drenching

• Dose : 500 gm per acre
• Mix with sufficient water and apply near root zone via drip or basin drenching
